Xbox one s pc
Otherwise, it feels like the exact same gamepad. The only real differences between this and the previous controllers are the USB-C port for charging and wired connections (charging with rechargeable batteries, the gamepad still uses two AAs), a Capture button between the Menu and View buttons for easy screenshots and video clips, and a circular directional pad with eight-way indentations replacing the older controller's plus-shaped pad. The console can be used upright or on its side, and should be easier to find a place for than the much larger Xbox Series X (or the much, much larger PlayStation 5). The sides are all flat, white plastic, except for a large circular black grille on the left/top panel, which is joined by additional white grilles on the system's ends. The white plastic slab measures 10.9 by 2.5 by 6.0 inches (HWD), making it just over a third the size of the Xbox Series X (12.0 by 6.0 by 6.0 inches). A Smaller SlabĬompared with the Series X, the Xbox Series S seems downright tiny. So while the Xbox Series S is significantly more affordable than its bigger sibling, you should keep these trade-offs in mind if you’re considering purchasing it. The Series S has half the storage capacity of the Series X (though the SSD makes for fast boot times), it can't match it in terms of graphical power, and it completely lacks an optical drive. It lets you play all the same games as the pricier system, but its lower price and smaller size mean some significant compromises. At $299, Microsoft's Xbox Series S costs just over half the price of the Series X, and is less than half the size of that big, black block. The Xbox Series X is a PCMag Editors' Choice-winning game system, but at $500, it's undoubtedly pricey. Half the storage space as the Xbox Series X.
